Our group aims to better understand water uptake and transport by plant roots. To this end, we have combined technological developments and modeling approaches. I will present some of our advances related to barriers of the cell wall and a new model-based phenotyping approach that allows the determination of both radial and axial hydraulic properties on the same plant.
